PT. Bara Alam Utama is currently expanding its exploration team at the Musi Rawas Utara site in South Sumatra. The organization is actively seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to fill key geological positions.
1. Junior Geologist
The Junior Geologist will play a hands-on role in executing field exploration activities and maintaining precise geological data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute comprehensive exploration phases, including geological mapping, drilling supervision, geophysical logging, coal sampling, and technical reporting in alignment with project timelines.
* Describe core samples thoroughly and generate accurate drill logs.
* Interpret geophysical logging data to support subsurface evaluations.
* Build, organize, and maintain robust drilling databases.
* Coordinate closely with the exploration team to ensure all tasks adhere to internal standards and operational procedures.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering.
* Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in coal geology or mineral exploration.
* Demonstrate strong expertise in coal geology mapping, drilling operations, coal sample handling, database management, geophysical logging interpretation, and borehole correlation.
* Willing to be stationed at the operational site in North Musi Rawas (Musi Rawas Utara), South Sumatra.
2. Exploration Geologist
The Exploration Geologist will take ownership of planning, overseeing, and validating advanced exploration projects, modeling, and resource estimation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and supervise end-to-end exploration initiatives, spanning mapping, drilling, geophysics, sampling, and reporting.
* Perform detailed interpretation and correlation of coal seams.
* Develop reliable coal geological models to support mine planning.
* Manage, audit, and validate comprehensive geological databases.
* Collaborate effectively with internal exploration teams, support units, and external stakeholders or third-party contractors.
* Ensure all exploration activities strictly comply with industry standards, company procedures, and government regulations.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering.
* Bring a minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in a similar mining or exploration capacity.
* Master coal mapping, drilling execution, exploration reporting, geological modeling, and coal resource estimation.
* Hold a valid Mining Supervisor certification, specifically Pengawas Pertambangan Tingkat Pratama (POP) or Pengawas Pertambangan Madya (POM).
* Willing to be stationed at the operational site in North Musi Rawas (Musi Rawas Utara), South Sumatra.
